Daniel’s practice encompasses both complex business and financial matters and some of life’s most personal legal decisions. He graduated from Washburn University School of Law with Dean’s Honors in 2013 and began his legal career in Topeka.  He later moved to Wichita with his wife when they were expecting their first child so they could be closer to family.

His practice includes advising financial institutions on bankruptcy, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other business matters, as well as helping individuals and families with probate and estate planning.  Daniel particularly enjoys the variety of his work. He appreciates the analytical challenge of navigating complex regulations and guiding businesses through significant transactions.  At the same time, he finds probate and estate planning especially rewarding because the work has a direct and lasting impact on people and their families.

For Daniel, estate planning is one of the most positive things an attorney can do for a client.  Helping parents protect their children, provide for their families, and make thoughtful decisions about the future is an opportunity to turn legal documents into something genuinely meaningful.

His approach to practicing law is straightforward: understand the problem, explain the options clearly, and help clients make good decisions.  He also believes that a little humor goes a long way, particularly when the subject involves bankruptcy, estate taxes, or reading a 90-page agreement that everyone insists is “pretty simple.”

Outside the office, Daniel lives in Wichita with his wife and two daughters.  He enjoys family time, music, movies, his aquarium, building LEGO sets, and pursuing answers to questions that probably did not require quite that much research.  His LEGO collection may eventually need an estate plan of its own (though after seeing Creath’s LEGO collection he is now rethinking this opinion).
